The Canadian singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright returns to the Auditori de Girona, this time to give a one-of-a-kind concert! Accompanied by the GIO Symphonia, he will perform a repertoire reflecting his vast range of musical influences and interests, including American standards such as Irving Berlin’s How Deep Is the Ocean, Who by Fire by his fellow Canadian Leonard Cohen, and his own compositions, such as Westside Waltz. The programme will also include Excursion à Venise, written by his mother, Kate McGarrigle, and his aunt, Anna McGarrigle. These arrangements were last performed live in 2023, when Rufus Wainwright toured with the Amsterdam Sinfonietta.
