Mozart & Rameau

Throughout the 18th century, music was a constant companion to relaxed, peaceful and convivial evenings spent in good company.

The programme features two works by the ever-brilliant Mozart, scores in which wit and intelligence shine through and blend effortlessly. The programme then continues with excerpts from Rameau’s opera-ballet Les Indes galantes, an embodiment of the carefree and refined spirit of the age of Louis XV and his court, devoted to pleasure and gallantry.

Ultimately, a musical evening devoted to what each piece in the programme was originally intended for: having a good time!
