REBEL

REBEL transforms the opera L’Enfant et les sortilèges, with a libretto by Colette and music by Maurice Ravel, into a contemporary and accessible experience through Marc Rosich’s adaptation and Francesc Prat’s arrangements for a small instrumental ensemble.

A journey that connects with the rebellious spirit of adolescence, exploring the consequences of our actions and transporting us into a magical, intimate world. Contemporary references that resonate with today’s audiences — Rigoberta Bandini, Shakira and Bad Gyal — meet rediscovered classics such as Colette and Lili Boulanger. A gender-balanced cast and a strong territorial focus ensure a production rooted in its local context and committed to the values of inclusion and equality.

Programme

The repertoire is primarily based on French music from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Maurice Ravel’s original repertoire forms the central thread of the programme, interwoven with contemporary pop music.
